Support that meets you where you are ~

Experienced professional care for you and your newest arrival, every step of the way.

The first weeks are tender.

Let me be part of your village.

What care looks like

Compassionate support that fits your family

Every family's early weeks look different. That's why I take the time to get to know your family's needs, so the support you get is truly personalized.

Overnight newborn care

Bottle feeding or assisting with breastfeeding during night feeds. Diaper changes, burping, and soothing baby so you can rest through the night. Detailed morning notes on feeding, sleep, diapers, and overnight observations so you can picture just how the night went.

Typically 8 to 12 hour shifts

Gentle sleep support

Sleep conditioning, not sleep training. The environment, the routine, and the daytime rhythm that supports a newborn bridging sleep cycles together. Age-appropriate routines and coaching to help your baby (and you) find a rhythm. Never one-size-fits-all.

Woven into overnight care

Live-in care

Around-the-clock support for the first weeks home. I stay with your family and cover days and nights, so someone experienced is always within reach.

16 to 20 hour days, 5 to 7 days a week, for 2 to 4 weeks. Usually booked 3 to 6 months ahead

Daytime and postpartum doula care

Hands-on help with baby so you can shower, nap, eat a hot meal, or take an older sibling to the park without watching the clock. Physical and emotional recovery support for you: meals, light household help, and a steady, judgment-free presence during the fourth trimester.

Flexible 4 to 8 hour blocks, prenatal planning through the fourth trimester

Newborn care education

Learn newborn care skills, tools, and techniques in real time, on your own baby. Hands-on guidance on feeding, soothing, and safe sleep so you feel confident and prepared, not just relieved when I'm there.

Included with care or booked as a session

Why sleep conditioning

Sleep training and sleep conditioning are not the same thing.

10 to 12 hoursMost babies in my overnight care are sleeping through the night by around 12 weeks, with a minimum of 4 nights a week, and never need traditional sleep training later.

Sleep training is a set of methods for changing an older baby's sleep habits, from a parent staying in the room to timed check-ins. It has its place, but never before 4 to 6 months, and it is not part of newborn care.

Sleep conditioning, also called sleep shaping, is a gentle, gradual process used from birth to 16 weeks to help newborns build healthy sleep habits and learn independent sleep without crying it out. It is the environment, the routine, and the daytime rhythm that supports a newborn bridging sleep cycles together. Done consistently, it builds the skills a baby needs in order to sleep independently through the night by 12 weeks.

That is the approach I take on every overnight. Attachment, bonding, and touch stay at the center. Good sleep and a secure baby are not opposites; they go together.

About Cloud9

JennMarie, Owner

My passion for supporting families with newborns sprouted while working with the pregnant community through prenatal, postpartum, and infant massage. From families

Nights that finally felt manageable

JennMarie was instrumental in helping us get the rest we needed while giving us the comfort that our little girl was taken care of. Because of her we were able to find joy in the first few months with our baby, instead of merely surviving. I'm so thankful for this service and I would recommend to anyone. She was communicative, prompt, and so kind whenever I reached out.

Littleton, MA

My family worked with JennMarie for newborn care, and she was exceptional. JennMarie has worked with hundreds of newborns, and she brings a level of expertise, calm, and confidence that is unmatched. She helped us navigate the newborn trenches, from the witching hour to feeding questions to figuring out how to help our daughter sleep well overnight. By the time JennMarie left us after 12 weeks, our daughter was sleeping through the night and able to fall asleep independently, which felt like such a gift. Beyond her incredible knowledge, we so appreciated the warmth, kindness, and patience she brought into our home. We truly would not have made it through those first few months without her support.

South Boston, MA

We had a really great experience with JennMarie. Having a newborn is exhausting and overwhelming, especially at night, and she made a huge difference for our family. She was calm, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. It was obvious she has extensive experience with newborns, and we felt completely comfortable trusting her with our baby. She handled everything with confidence and care, which allowed us to actually rest. Beyond just getting sleep, I learned so much from her. She answered questions, shared practical tips, and helped us feel more confident as new parents. If you're a new mom considering overnight support, I genuinely recommend JennMarie. It's not just about catching up on sleep, it's about having experienced, steady support during a really vulnerable season.

Questions parents ask

The things you're wondering at 2 a.m.

Where do you provide care?

In your home, across Greater Boston and Northeast Massachusetts. Reach out if you're a bit farther out; travel is often workable.

Is this medical care?

No. Newborn care and doula support are non-medical. I'll always point you to your pediatrician, OB, midwife, or an IBCLC for anything clinical, and I'm happy to help you prepare questions for those visits.

Can you help if I'm breastfeeding?

Absolutely. Overnight, I'll bring baby to you for feeds, then handle burping, changing, and soothing your baby (which can take an additional 20 to 60 minutes after your baby has finished eating) so you can get much needed rest. As a Lactation Educator I can also support latch, positioning, and pumping routines.

How far ahead should I book?

A majority of families book three to four months in advance. However, last-minute openings and gap dates are sometimes available as well. I will let you know right away if I have availability for your dates.

How much support should I get, and for how long?

Every family has different needs and parameters. However, a majority of families choose 4 to 7 nights a week, 10 hours a night, for 8 to 12 weeks. I can help you figure out what is a good fit for your family.

What are your minimums?

My minimum is an 8 hour shift, 2 nights a week, for 4 weeks. At the other end, I also do 12 hour shifts, 7 nights a week, for 14 weeks. Most families land somewhere in between.

Do you do live-in or 24/7 care?

Yes. I offer live-in care with 16 to 20 hour days, 5 to 7 days a week, for 2 to 4 weeks. This care is usually booked 3 to 6 months in advance.

What does it cost?

Rates depend on shift length, timing, and whether you're welcoming one baby or more. You'll get clear pricing on the first call, with no surprises.
